Vicky Sibley unleashes a big right boot during the mixed final in which her Hampstead Hawks side went down to Zenith Hampstead at the South Island force back competition on Saturday.

With a full on day of tactical kicking the eventual open grade winners were Ben Tait Associates who came out on top in a closely contested final against Malvern Hills.

 In the mixed section the Zenith Hampstead side out booted the Hampstead Hawks to take the title on what was a great day for the event that saw 27 teams entered and a reasonable crowd attended to take in the action.

 After losing its principal sponsor there was some good news with a few possible major sponsors expressing interest in backing next year’s event.
