Home advantage pays off for Tinwald

January 14 2010

Methven skip Shirley Pagey hunts the jack during the Mid Canterbury Sub Centre Nan Marsh Triples at the Tinwald Bowling Green.

PageyKG.jpgThere were 14 triples teams from clubs around Mid Canterbury that were able to enjoy the good weather and a great green that allowed for some competitive bowling.

The winners on the day were Gwen Whipp, Nola Duff and Joan Moore from the Tinwald Club who enjoyed the home advantage.

Second place went to Gloria Hawkins, Relda Prendergast and Joyce Gray from the Ashburton Club, while Rakaia Club members Rosemary Bennett, Helen Boag and Noreen Smith finished third with Diane Gutberlet, Gaynor Crack and Ollie Collins also from the Ashburton club in fourth.

The next sub centre event is the Champion of Champion singles which will be held in Rakaia at the end of January.
