| Donations pouring in |

September 9 2010 Rodger Withell's Kaiapoi relief appeal has only been running for a day, but already donations of groceries are pouring in for his delivery run on Saturday. Mr Withell plans to take a large harvest of his hydroponic lettuces to Kaiapoi's earthquake hit residents on Saturday and wants to fill his truck up with groceries. He's put out an appeal through the Guardian and Classic Hits and said the response has been nothing short of fantastic. He'll accept goods (perishables can be kept in his coolstore) until load up on Friday afternoon. If more goods than can be handled in one run are given, he intends to make a second trip, this time to Darfield. He is working with people in the Kaiapoi community to co-ordinate his relief efforts. |
